But that is what I felt: the joy of accomplishment, of having been tested - the joy of being alive! The cares and complications of my life had receded into the valley. I had been to the mountaintop.

KELANTAN SECARA RINGKAS
Negeri Kelantan adalah sebuah daripada 13 buah negeri di Malaysia yang kaya dengan sumber asli. Mempunyai keluasan lebih kurang 14,922 km persegi, terletak di Timur laut semenanjung Malaysia, berhadapan dengan Laut China Selatan. Malaysia meliputi 336,700 km persegi yang terdiri daripada semenanjung Sabah dan Sarawak di Kepulauan Borneo. Kota Bharu, ibu negeri Kelantan, ialah sebuah bandar yang sibuk sebagai pusat tumpuan bagi pentadbiran dan aktiviti perniagaan. Negeri ini terbahagi kepada 10 jajahan pentadbiran iaitu, Kota Bharu, Pasir Mas, Tumpat, Pasir Puteh, Bachok, Kuala Krai, Machang, Tanah Merah, Jeli dan Gua Musang. Negeri Kelantan menikmati iklim tropika yang baik, di mana hampir setiap tahun hujan turun dengan berselang-seli mengikut bulan tertentu pada setiap tahun. Biasanya hujan yang lebat akan berterusan selama beberapa hari atau beberapa bulan akan turun pada bulan November, Disember dan Januari. Suhu setiap hari dianggarkan dari 21° C hingga 32° C.Negeri Kelantan yang mempunyai penduduk seramai 1.4 juta yang terdiri daripada bangsa Melayu, Cina, India, Siam, dan lain-lain. Sebanyak 94% penduduk adalah berbangsa melayu. Penduduknya meningkat hampir 2.8% setiap tahun. Sebanyak 75% daripada penduduknya menetap di Utara negeri di mana kawasan itu meliputi sebanyak 17% daripada jumlah tanah negeri tersebut. Sejumlah 2300 km jalan di negeri dan mukim adalah berhubung dengan bandar utama di Kelantan untuk ke Kota Bharu. Perjalanan dari Kota Bharu ke Kuala Lumpur mengambil masa selama 6 jam yang meliputi sebanyak 474 km melalui Gua Musang di Selatan Kelantan dan juga negeri Pahang.
